  • 19 July: Murphy warns Tramway men against IGTWU
  • 15 August: ITGWU members sacked at Independent dispatch room
  • 26 August: Larkin calls Tramway men out on strike.
  • 27 August: Larkin arrested and let out on bail.
  • 28 August: Murphy persuaded Employer’s Federation to offer pledge to workers.
  • 29 August: Rioting near Liberty Hall. Man Killed.
  • 31 August: Bloody Sunday Police batton charge crowd.
  • 31 August: Jacobs Factory closed.
  • 18 September: Riot amongst striking farm labourers in Finglas. One youth shot(non-fatal) by the DMP
  • 28 Sept: Food ship, The Hare, arrives in Dublin Port.
  • 29 Sept-6 Oct: Asquith Enquiry held.
  • 18-26 Oct: The Dublin Kiddies Scheme.
  • 4 October: Opening of the Askwith Inquiry on the Labour disturbances
  • 6 Nov: Shipping Federation closed.
  • 12 Nov: Dublin Port closed.
  • 9 Dec: Special TUC Conference in London rejects Larkin’s call for sympathetic strike in Britain.
  • Dec- April: Strike Ended.
